Sri Mulyani
Name the former Minister of Finance of Indonesia which is currently a director at the World Bank, Sri Mulyani, back sticking out in the international arena. Sri Mulyani was mentioned to be one of Southeast Asia's strongest candidate who will occupy the position of Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Dominique Strauss-Kahn to replace.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani named by Thailand, which is Korn Chatikavanij, as someone who could be nominated a director on the international financial institutions. "He has tremendous experience in world financial institutions. He was able to occupy this position," said Korn Chatikavanij.

In addition to Sri Mulyani, another candidate who she mentioned was the Singapore Finance Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam. According to him, this Singapore-based financial whiz known to be very strict and respected among the finance ministers of the world. "Both men are very worthy of sitting in institutions like the IMF," he said

Flashback only, since the resignation of Strauss-Kahn as IMF managing director, speculation arose about his successor. Europe has expressed reluctance if Kahn's replacement came from emerging markets.
