"I care for my father 95 years old, and I just wanted to make sure we have enough water," Alimenti sad, 53. "I get some water bottles in Danvers, but I see this on the Waltham Web site and want more."

Twenty-three years, Katie Green told she was there to get water for her son two years.

"She needs a bath and I do not want to use tap water for that. ... I was boiling water, but you can not go to the store was completely empty store .. They get water a few days but the fight is more than that."

Mayor Jeannette McCarthy said the city received a shipment of water on Monday and expects to receive more Tuesday.

The mayor said the city received 17 000 bottles of water Sunday and distributed about half the school department. Water has to go to high-risk populations such as seniors, he said.

This city is one of 29 regions of Boston commiunities been without drinking tap water since Saturday when an MWRA water main burst in Weston. Officials said Monday that the main has been repaired and they drink the tap water is expected to be available with 24 to 48 hours.
