Key's English: The smacking law will be changed if it "starts not working"
John Key talks about the anti-smackling legislation in which he is happy for a law that he supported not to be enforced.
I've always argued that if the law doesn't work we will change it. If an overwhelming bulk of New Zealanders vote no then what that should do, I think, is give Parliament the strength of courage to change the law if it starts not working," he told Newstalk ZB.In other words, if the law is enforced. But Key should know that the law has already started to not work. It's about time Key stopped to start not to not have the strength of courage.
