President of the United States (U.S.), Barack Obama, again delaying a visit to Indonesia. The cause temporary, Obama and middle American officials to mess around with the problem of environmental pollution in the waters south of U.S. crude oil wells due to leaking underwater managed an oil company.
The delay was submitted by the White House spokesman, Robert Gibbs, on Friday morning, June 4, 2010. According to Gibbs, the Obama with the "very sorry" delaying a visit to Indonesia and Australia.
Obama has called the leaders of Indonesia and Australia Thursday night U.S. time (Friday morning GMT) regarding the delay. Gibbs has not told the reason Obama's delay in returning the visit, but the decision was made at the time the U.S. was facing a crisis of leaking oil wells in the Gulf of Mexico. In addition there has been no explanation of whether the new timetable has been set.
A day earlier, a number of United States and foreign media began to doubt whether Obama could make overseas visits in the coming weeks since the crisis leaking oil wells at the plant owned by British Petroleum (BP), which exploded over a month ago, has become a national issue Uncle Sam's country.
Obama plans to visit Indonesia this month are still unclear. Senior U.S. State Department, Maria Otero, had revealed that Obama is going to Indonesia on June 14 next. However, there has been no announcement from the White House confirmed nor denied the information.
According VIVAnews records, Obama had twice postponed the visit to Indonesia. First, he is expected to come in November 2009 - in conjunction with the APEC Conference held in Singapore. However Obama wants the visit be postponed until early 2010 to await the school holidays the girls.
Second, Obama plans to visit in mid-March 2010. But again, when it was postponed because Mr Obama was determined to fight for ratification of the health reform legislation in Congress. The schedule was pushed back to mid-June.
